Frequently asked questions about iGlasses.

Is iGlasses compatible with mac OS Mojave (10.14)?

Yes, mostly. You may have to re-install the latest version of iGlasses after an upgrade. If you don't have your installer, use this form, and we'll email your registration information to you.

On macOS 10.14 Mojave, iGlasses will not show up in certain Apple (pre-installed) applications such as FaceTime and Photo Booth. In Mojave, Apple has introduced the concept of a Hardened Runtime and Library Validation. This prevents hardened apps, such as FaceTime, from loading any 3rd party add-ons such as iGlasses. We are not able to update iGlasses for compatibility with Mojave and the Apple applications mentioned above.

Will iGlasses work great with my HD-capable camera?

Yes, absolutely. If your webcam supports it, and the app you're using supports it, iGlasses will automatically switch into 720p mode. Here are some popular HD-capable apps: FaceTime, Skype, Photo Booth, Jabber Video, and ScreenFlow.

Does iGlasses work in HD even in Skype?

Yes, HD in Skype! Skype starts video calls in SD mode, and then after 1 minute, makes a judgement call about the quality of your connection. If Skype decides you have enough bandwidth, you'll see the call switch to HD.

Is iGlasses compatible with FaceTime?

Yes. Ensure that you have the latest version of iGlasses, which is v3.4.9. There is one known issue: If your partner can't hear you, then you need to reselect the proper microphone after switching your camera to be iGlasses. (eg. Internal Microphone)

I bought iGlasses but now I've lost my registration information. How can I download a full version?

iGlasses 3 looks completely different than older versions. What's going on?

Does iGlasses work with OS X versions before 10.8?

No, iGlasses requires OS X 10.8 or newer.

What programs does iGlasses work with?

Since iGlasses shows up as a camera, it will work with any Mac app that allows you to select which camera you would like to use. iGlasses will not work with PowerPC apps running in Rosetta compatibility mode.

I've installed iGlasses and now I can't find the iGlasses window. Where did it go?

iGlasses will show up automatically when the program you're using starts the camera. First, make sure iGlasses is picked as your camera choice, and that video is active. If you still don't see it, maybe you've minimized iGlasses. Look for a tiny iGlasses camera icon in the menubar at the top of the screen. Click it to reveal iGlasses.

I have two cameras. How can I use the other camera with iGlasses?

Choose "Select Camera" from the settings menu in the top-right corner of the iGlasses window.

Why isn't iGlasses showing up as a camera choice in Safari/Firefox/Yahoo?

After installing iGlasses, it will be necessary to quit and re-open any app that uses video before you'll see the iGlasses option in that app. Also, ensure that you have the latest iGlasses, which is v3.4.9.

Why isn't iGlasses showing up as an option in Google Chat?

Ensure that you have the latest version of Google's chat software, and the latest iGlasses, which is v3.4.9. Then quit and re-open the browser app.

I purchased a product, but it still says I'm running a demo, or that my trial has run out. What do I need to do?

After purchasing software from our website, you'll receive an email with instructions for downloading the full, non-demo product. Be sure to download and run that installer to replace the demo.

I don't remember my password.

When installing iGlasses, you will be prompted to enter your Mac’s admin password. This is the password you created when you originally set up your Mac.

How can I download the full version, get an upgrade or recover my registration instructions?

Registrations are managed by email address. If you know the email address you used when purchasing, use the recover registration information page to get to the Customer Center and download your software. An email containing download instructions will be sent to you.

Do you have an affiliate/referral program?
