Call Recorder v2.3.1 Update

Ecamm Network today announced the release of Call Recorder for Skype v2.3.1. The update provides compatibility with certain versions of Skype for Mac v2.7. It also includes updated Movie Tools, including two new tools: Split Sides of Conversation and Convert For Internet.

Call Recorder adds a simple recording window to Skype for Mac, allowing users to automatically save exact reproductions of all incoming and outgoing Skype calls. Calls are saved as QuickTime files, which can be converted to MP3 format or split into separate tracks for further editing and podcasting. Call Recorder uses state-of-the-art AAC and H.264 encoding to ensure high quality audio and video.

iGlasses v2.1 Update

Ecamm Network today announced the release of iGlasses 2.1. The plug-in allows Mac users to easily adjust and manipulate camera settings from within popular video applications. Among the new features in version 2.1 are a digital zoom button, support for seven additional applications and numerous fixes and enhancements.

Using the digital zoom feature, users can digitally change their camera angle in order to center themselves in the video frame. This is especially useful with the built-in iSight since it cannot be physically aimed without moving the entire Mac. Once a desired zoom and pan setting is achieved, it can be saved and quickly recalled at a later time.

iGlasses supports more than 50 of the most popular Mac OS X video applications including iChat, Skype and Yahoo! Messenger. Newly supported applications include Skitch, Pixelmator, Cha-Ching, WebEx Meeting Center, Arkaos VJ, Acorn, and ooVoo. A full list of compatible applications is available on the iGlasses web page.

CardRaider v2.0.2 Update

Ecamm Network announces a new version of their CardRaider photo recovery software for Mac. The new version adds support for finding additional professional image formats including Hasselblad H3D (3FR), Epson Raw (ERF), Leica Raw, and Mimiya Raw (MEF). The update also fixes a problem with finding some Kodak Raw (KDC) files.

With CardRaider, lost or accidentally deleted photos and movies can be easily recovered. CardRaider is designed for easy operation, and features one-click scan and recover. Recovered images can be sent directly to iPhoto. It can even find photos and movies on damaged or reformatted media cards that don't show up in the Finder. In addition to JPEG files, CardRaider will detect and recover professional "raw" formats, as well as MPEG, AVI, and QuickTime Movie files.

A demo is available, and the software costs $19.95.

Huckleberry 3 Now Available

Ecamm Network today announced a new version of their Huckleberry Mirror for MacBook and MacBook Pro. The new Huckleberry 3 features a new foam bracket design and compatibility with both the MacBook and MacBook Pro.

Consisting of two acrylic mirrors and two durable mounting brackets, Huckleberry is placed above the screen of your MacBook or MacBook Pro to reflect the built-in camera's field of view. Instead of filming yourself, it will now film what's in front of you.

MegaPhone v1.5 Update

Ecamm Network today announced the release of MegaPhone v1.5.

MegaPhone (formerly iPhoneDrive) is a Mac application which gives iPhone and iPod Touch users access to iTunes media, photos, notes, and other data stored on the device. Files and folders can also be copied to the device for data storage and file transfer between Macs. New in v1.5, MegaPhone provides the ability to add and edit notes. MegaPhone will add text files, PDF files, and other formats to the iPhone Notes application for reading on the go.

"Now we can finally use the iPhone notepad to store important information," explains Ken Aspeslagh, Ecamm Network's iPhone specialist. "With MegaPhone, moving notes back and forth between the Mac and the iPhone is as simple as dragging in and out of the MegaPhone window."

Additional uses for MegaPhone include viewing and exporting SMS and call history data, exporting synced photos and backing up important data.

iPhoneDrive v1.4 Update

Ecamm Network announces the release of iPhoneDrive v1.4 for Mac.

iPhoneDrive is a Mac application which lets iPhone and iPod Touch users access to iTunes media, iPhoto library, notes, and other data stored on the device. Files and folders can also be copied to the device for data storage and file transfer between Macs. New in v1.4, iPhoneDrive provides access to the iPhone's call log and SMS text message history. Also new is the ability view and download photos taken with the iPhone's camera.

"iTunes will sync your music to your iPhone, but it's a one-way street," explains Ken Aspeslagh, Ecamm Network's iPhone specialist. "With iPhoneDrive, you can connect an iPhone or iPod Touch to any Mac and then instantly play or copy your music to that system."

Using iPhoneDrive's file storage feature is as easy as dragging files into iPhoneDrive's browser window. Possible uses include moving files between work and home, backing up important data, and keeping useful apps and installers with you at all times.

Ecamm Movie Tools Updated

Ecamm Network has released a new version of their free Movie Tools software package. Formerly known as Movie Conversion Tools, the collection of simply utilities facilitates the conversion of QuickTime movie files into MP3, AAC or AIFF format. The Split Movie Tracks utility allows users to split movies containing multiple tracks into separate files. The tools are intended for use with Ecamm's popular Call Recorder for Skype and Conference Recorder for iChat AV, but are also made available as a separate download. The new update fixes some conversion issues as well as adding preliminary support for Apple's Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard).

DownloadComment v1.2 Update

Ecamm Network today announced the release of DownloadComment v1.2 for Mac.

DownloadComment is a free add-on for Safari which inserts the original URL of downloaded files into the Spotlight Comments. The new version adds support for Safari 3 Beta, and adds the download URL to the "Where from" Spotlight metadata.

Nutshell v3.2.2 Update

Ecamm Network announced this week a new version of their Nutshell development tool.

The new version of Nutshell includes some minor updates and fixes. The Pro version includes two new flags.

Ecamm's Nutshell product line is the de facto standard for over-the-air distribution of Palm software. Nutshell packages Palm files into a powerful self-extracting installer.
