“
Thank you so much for developing such easy-to-use and affordable software. I
use Conference Recorder regularly to record video iChats with my daughter and
with my son and grandson. I don't get to see my son and grandson often,
so this really helps bridge the gap.

Q: How can I access each side of the conference as individual
tracks?
A: Conference Recorder records each side of the chat as a separate
QuickTime movie track. Ecamm provides a simple conversion tool called Split Movie Tracks, which can be used to

resulting audio files can be used with most any sound editing
program.
Q: Can the other people in the conference tell that I'm recording the conference?
A: Conference Recorder displays a red dot in the corner of a videoconference when it's being recorded. This is intended as a courtesy to other participants in the conference. You can disable this indicator in the Recording Settings. If this indicator is disabled, conference participants will not know that they are being recorded unless you tell them.
Q: I recorded some movies with Conference Recorder v1.0.1 and now I don't hear any audio when I listen to them in QuickTime Player. What's going on?
A: As a result of an unfortunate bug and the QuickTime update, recordings
made with Conference Recorder 1.0.1 and earlier no longer have audio when
played in QuickTime 7.0 and higher. For details and instructions on how
to fix the movies, see the known issues page.
